Sofia & Rob’s Wedding
When Sofia first told me she wanted fresh fruit on the tables, I knew—knew—this wedding was going to absolutely SLAY. I’ve been waiting for a couple bold enough to let me have a full “fruit moment,” and Sofia said yes without hesitation. She trusted me completely with the vision, and as a Texas wedding planner, there’s no better feeling than getting to create something you’ve been dreaming about.
And let me tell you… it was worth every second.
A Colorful, Heartfelt Celebration
Sofia came into wedding planning with such a clear vision: vibrant, meaningful details woven through every moment of the day. From the embroidered blooms in her veil to the uniquely stunning bridesmaid dresses, every design choice felt personal, intentional, and so authentically them.
Their son—yes, the sweetest little gentleman you’ll ever meet—stole the show more than once. He was charming, well-mannered, and absolutely glowing in every photo.
A Ceremony on the River
Joshua Creek Ranch offers some of the most breathtaking ceremony backdrops in Texas, and Sofia and Rob took full advantage. Guests walked down a dreamy, shaded staircase that opened into their riverside ceremony—peaceful, intimate, and completely romantic.
One of my favorite personal touches was the lasso ceremony, a beautiful Catholic tradition symbolizing unity and forever connection.
And speaking of connection… this crowd came ready to dance.
A Florals Plot Twist (But Make It Beautiful)
Okay, wedding planner honesty moment—every wedding day has a hiccup or two. One of the florists delivered arrangements that looked nothing like what we had planned. So my assistant and I rolled up our sleeves, took out mismatched blooms, redesigned full pieces, and created fresh centerpieces using what did match the vision.
Three hours later? A complete transformation.
Our job is to keep the bride calm, the plan moving, and the aesthetic protected—and Sofia never had to worry for a single second. Everything came together beautifully, and the meadow-style aisle florals were repurposed later to frame the sweetheart table perfectly.
Touches That Made the Night
This wedding had personality everywhere you looked:
A live painter who created tiny portrait favors for the guests (yes, as magical as it sounds)
Board games and puzzles on the patio for cozy evening fun
Signature cocktails reflecting their personalities — an Aperol Spritz for the bride and a honey lemon drop for the groom
Late-night treats lovingly made by the bride’s mom, including homemade empanadas and custom Chex mix bags
The cutest vintage-style cake moment, and yes… more fruit
And the late-night fruit, cake, and ring detail shots? Chef’s kiss.
Once the dance floor opened—this crew did. not. stop. They celebrated Sofia and Rob with everything they had. Exactly how a wedding night should feel.
A Dream Wedding Brought to Life
From the riverfront “I do’s” to the bold, colorful reception design, this wedding was a perfect reflection of Sofia and Rob’s joy, culture, and style. Working alongside this couple was an honor, and watching their vision come to life (fruit and all!) was truly a highlight of the season.
